Evolución Spring 25 is a cultural streetwear collection exploring themes of self-growth, transformation, and inner resilience. Rooted in personal narrative and Latin symbolism, the collection uses bold graphic design, earthy tones, and powerful iconography—like the monarch butterfly—to express the beauty of evolving into oneself.

Context & Inspiration / Background:
This project was conceptualized during a personal season of change and inspired by Latin American storytelling, migration symbolism, and the resilience of nature. The monarch butterfly serves as both a cultural and emotional metaphor for transformation, growth, and return to one’s roots.

Visual Identity & Graphics:
The visual language of Evolución blends delicate organic forms with bold linework and high-contrast graphics. Signature elements include hand-drawn illustrations, custom typographic lockups, and iconography that echoes ancient pattern motifs and modern streetwear cues. Apparel graphics were created with screen printing and embroidery in mind, optimizing for texture, clarity, and production scalability.

Apparel Design Process:
Each garment was developed with wearability, message, and technique in mind. From sketch to mockup, I focused on layering meaning into each piece—considering composition, symbolism, and material compatibility. I created production-ready files for screenprint, embroidery, and applique detailing across t-shirts, button-ups, ribbed tank tops, linen drawstring pants, and accessories.
Designing the Boxy Guayabera:
Rooted in my Mexican heritage and inspired by the rich legacy of artisanal textiles, this collection marks a new beginning. Featuring my first-ever cut-and-sew piece: The Boxy Guayabera — a modern reinterpretation of Mexico’s traditional button-up, reimagined with a bold new boxy structure and an undeniably cultural soul.
Reimagining a Legacy Garment:
The Boxy Guayabera represents a deeply personal and cultural moment in this collection. Rooted in Mexican tradition, the guayabera has long symbolized formality, elegance, and identity across generations. In Evolución, I wanted to reinterpret this staple piece through a contemporary lens—introducing a cropped, wide-fit silhouette, earthy linen textures, and embroidered jacquard ribbon detailing.

Drawstring Cargopants:
Designed as the perfect pairing to the Boxy Guayabera, this ribbed tank top and drawstring cargo pant set elevates comfort into high-class loungewear. The tank features elegant script embroidery and a back diamond motif—subtle nods to spiritual geometry and personal growth. The 100% linen cargo pants mirror these details with tonal embroidery placements, cargo pocket functionality, and a relaxed, drop-crotch silhouette. Together, the pieces create a modular, layered look that captures the heart of Evolución: timeless identity with effortless presence.
Moodboard & Trend Direction:
The seasonal direction was built from moodboarding sessions based on Spring/Summer 2025 macro trends—pulling from Latin heritage, natural textures, urban migration stories, and renewal symbolism. Colorways were chosen to evoke emotional warmth, resilience, and rebirth.
Lookbook & Creative Direction:
I styled and art directed the collection’s first lookbook, shot in a natural light and urban environment to reflect the journey from inner transformation to outer expression. The lookbook channels authenticity, empowerment, and self-reflection—designed for both digital and print campaign use.
Campaign & Rollout:
Evolución launched through a series of local market pop-ups, social media teasers, and a debut party. Campaign visuals focused on storytelling through video reels, model narratives, and branded moments (stickers, posters, photo ops). The visual identity extended to signage, digital invites, and event graphics.
